Young residents of Kemin touched upon the great heritage: students of the N. Davlesov School attended an ethnographic festival in Bishkek
BISHKEK – KEMIN.
The past weekend was an unforgettable experience for the students of N. Davlesov Secondary School No. 3 in the city of Kemin. As part of a large-scale historical and cultural program, the students embarked on a fascinating journey to the capital, where they attended a grandiose ethno-festival and heard a mesmerizing performance of the epic "Manas." This trip was made possible by the full financial support of the Kemin Oil Refinery Plant
Diving into the world of nomadic culture
For many schoolchildren, this trip was a unique chance to touch the living history of their people. The festival program was rich: children visited an authentic yurt town, learned about traditional crafts, and saw an exhibition of national costumes.
However, the main and most emotional moment of the day was the performance by the famous storytellers, the manaschi. With bated breath, the students of Kemin listened to the hours-long poetic tales about the heroic deeds of the great Manas. The special energy, facial expressions, and guttural singing of the masters left no child indifferent.
"We had only heard about Manas in our literature and history classes, but seeing and hearing the real Manaschi singers in person is a whole other experience! Their voices give us goosebumps. We are very grateful for the opportunity to come here as a group," said one of the students from Davleso.
Philanthropy and concern for the future: the contribution of the Kemin Oil Refinery
Such long-distance trips require serious organizational and financial costs, which are often beyond the means of parents and schools. The Kemin Oil Refinery acted as the sponsor and main organizer of the children's cultural trip. The company not only covered all expenses for renting comfortable transport, providing meals, and purchasing tickets, but also ensured the complete safety of the children throughout the entire route.
According to the plant's management, supporting the younger generation and preserving national traditions is an essential part of business social responsibility. Moreover, the Kemin Oil Refinery emphasized that this initiative will now become a tradition. The company plans to regularly fund cultural, historical, and educational trips for local schoolchildren, helping them broaden their horizons and explore their ancestral heritage.
The administration of the N. Davlesov School and the parents of its students express their sincere gratitude to the management of the Kemin Oil Refinery for their generosity, attention to the needs of young people, and invaluable contribution to the patriotic and cultural education of the younger generation. The recent ethno festival has left a lasting impression on the children, inspiring them to explore the great heritage of Manas in greater depth.
